Obituary

Rudolph A. (Frenchy) Vernet, Sr., of 16 Delrose Dr.. Monessen died Saturday,June 5,1982 at 9:30 a.m. in his home following an illness of five months. He was 72. Mr. Vernet was born Nov. 16,1909, in Monessen, a son of the late Adolph and Delphine Moniour Vernet. He had been a lifelong resident of Monessen. Mr. Vernet was employed as a bricklayer in the Open Hearth Department of the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation until his retirement nine years ago.  He was a member of St.Cajetan R.C.Church,Monessen.  Survivors include his wife,Mary Arnoldi Vernet,at home;three sons,Rudy Vernet,Jr.and Donald Vernet,both of Monessen,and Larry Vernet of Gibsonton,Pa.;a brother,Harry Vernet,of Monessen;10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A Blessing service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.followed at 10 a.m.by a Mass of Christian Burial in St.Cajetan R.C, Church,Monessen.  The Rev.P.Lino Ramellini,pastor,will officiate.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Parish Rosary will be recited Monday evening.,  The Rhome Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
