He had been employed in the fabric department of the Monessen plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his wife;Mrs.Margaret Maxon Shephard;son;James of Corning;N.Y.and two brothers;Joseph of Belle Vernon and Robert of Monessen;a sister; Mrs.Joseph (Mary) Dessent of Okmulgee;Okla.and two grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon after 7 p.m.on Saturday. Funeral home visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Monday;October 13;at 2 p.m.in charge of Rev.David J.Dillon of Trinity Episcopal Church;Monessen.
