Obituary

Rose Zeli, 93, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of North Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, in the Sarasota Health Care Center. A daughter of the late John and Maria Ambrose McCune, she was born in Webster (Rostraver Township) on June 22, 1912. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and the Annita Garibaldi Society, both of Belle Vernon. Rose had lived in Belle Vernon most of her life until moving to Florida in 1998. She had worked for 25 years for the former Corning Glass of Charleroi. Survivors include three sisters, Lena Sichi and Ange Koslosky, both of Belle Vernon, and Dolores Michaux, of Charleroi, and several nieces and nephews, including Christina M. Pollacci McPeters and husband Ray, with whom she resided in Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ferman Zeli, in 1977, five brothers, two in infancy, and Patsy, Michael and Albert McCune, and four sisters, Josephine Koslosky, Sue Baker, Virginia Michiewicz and Stella Rogers. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, a Golden Rule Member Firm, www.fergusonfuneralhome.net, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A Blessing Service will be in the funeral home on Saturday, May 27, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Annita Garibaldi Society members will meet in the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m. to hold services.
