Rose Apicella Rocchino;66;of 713 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Saturday;March 12;1994;at 2:45 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. Born April 13;1927;in Maiori;Italy;she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Maria Battista Apicella. Mrs.Rocchino was a resident of the Belle Vernon community for the past 43 years;37 of which she spent with her late husband operating the former Rocchino Cleaners on Broad Avenue in North Belle Vernon. She was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;and its Ladies Guild. She was also a member of Court Belle Vernon 1522 Catholic Daughters of the Americas;the Anita Garibaldi Lodge in Belle Vernon;the Ladies Auxiliary of Belle Vernon;American Legion Post 659 and the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly. Mrs.Rocchino was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program in Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Mario Alfred Rocchino;who died Aug.9;1976. Surviving are two daughters;Mrs.John (Elaine) Posteraro of Wexford and Mrs.Tony (Lillian) Logan of Detroit;Mich.;one son and his wife;Jonathan Paul and Joanne Rocchino of Mechanicsburg;seven grandchildren;one brother;Tomaso Apicella of Agropoli;Italy;and three sisters;Mrs.Antonio (Maria) Ferliano of Nocera Terinese;Italy;and Mrs.Vittorio (Elena) Scarano and Mrs.Gianni (Giovanna) Colina;both of Maiori;Italy and an uncle and aunt;Giovanni and Elena Battista of Maiori;Italy. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home.
