Rose M. Parshall; 68; of Fairhope; Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; May 4; 2004; in UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital; Pittsburgh. She was born July 12; 1935; in Monessen; a daughter of the late Adam and Marie A. Chubon Piersa. She was a 1953 graduate of Bellmar High School. Rose was retired from Central Tax Bureau as a regional manager and served on their board of directors. She was a past president of the Belle Vernon Area Football Parents Association and was instrumental in the acquisition of the victory bell in the north end zone of James Weir Stadium. Surviving are two loving sons; Kelly Parshall; wife Debbie and granddaughter Bailey; and Kurt Parshall; wife Linda and granddaughter Paige; all of Belle Vernon; one uncle; Joseph Chubon and wife Caroline of Belleview; Fla.; one aunt; Betty Chubon of St. Mary’s; one brother-in-law; William Parshall and wife Mary of Virginia; one sister-in-law; Catherine Balieu and husband Arthur of Stockdale; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.; Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday; May 8; until 8:30 a.m.; when a blessing service will take place followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon; with the Rev. Fr. Lawrence Manchas as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Fayette City and North Belle Vernon Fire Companies will pay respects Thursday at 7:30 p.m.; and the Fayette City/Washington Township Lions Club will pay respects Friday at 8 p.m.; both in the funeral home.
