She was born Sept.2;1908;in Bessmer;Ala.;a daughter of the late Mitchell Baker and Eugena C.A.Baker. Mrs.Code was a homemaker and lived in the Mon Valley most of her life. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Monessen. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;John Henry in 1966;by a son;John L.Code;a daughter;Doris Matthews Fields;three grandchildren;David Lloyd;Nikki Matthews and Devin Matthews;and a great-grandchild;Jarea Jennings. Survivors include a son;Harold L.Code of Connellsville;a daughter;Jenette Price and her husband Leonard;of Monessen;with whom she resided;10 grandchildren;Richard (Tige) LLoyd of Charleroi;Michael Matthews of Monessen;Richard Williams of Monessen;Davina Cook of Monessen;Chuan Williams of Pittsburgh;Jolene Moye of Pittsburgh;Michael Code;Harold Code and Darla Code;all of Connellsville;and Gerald Code of Maryland;27 great-grandchildren;and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday Nov.22;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Mt.Sinai Baptist Church;Lock Four;North Charleroi;where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.Wanda L.Sawyer;pastor;officiating.
