Obituary

Mrs.Rose F.Churchman,89,of Park Manor,Monessen,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Tuesday,June 2,1970,at 6:10 p.m. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene of Waltersburg. Surviving are two daughters,Mrs.Harriet Stewart of Monessen and Mrs.Helen Rombaugh of Fayette City,12 grandchildren,36 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service there Saturday,June 6,at 10 a.m. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is funeral director.               Rosa F. Lape was one of eight children and d/o Civil War Veteran & Farmer Abraham Lape & Elijah J. Mills Lape. At the Age 16 she married Coal Miner Clarence Jobes, a union that would last 12+ years ending when Clarence died on September 10, 1910 in a Pittsburgh Hospital as a result of a work place accident. The couple had parented four children together ...............................
Eighteen years later and after their 3 living children were grown and out of her home, WIDOW Rosa Jobes at the Age of 49 would marry WIDOWED Carpenter Henry Churchman Age 51. There union would last 31 years with Henry dying March 12, 1959.

Remaining twice widowed for another 10 years, Rosa Churchman would die June 4, 1970 being buried next to Henry Churchman.
