Rose Ella Mason of
Smithton R.D.I died Tuesday;Jan.5;1982; at
6:55 a.m. in the H.C. Frick
Community Hospital; Mount
Pleasant. She was 98.
Mrs. Mason was born Jan.
31; 1883 in Salem; New York;
a daughter of the late Thomas
and Clara Shields.
A former member of St.
Leonard Catholic Church;
Monessen; she was preceded
in death by her husband;
William in I948.
Mrs. Mason had lived in the
Smithton area since August
of 1977 when she moved there
from Monessen.
She is survived by one
nephew; Thomas Shields of
South Orange; N.J.
Friends will be received in
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon;on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m.with the Rev.James Miller of St.Timothy Catholic Church;Smithton;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
