Rose E. Owens,91,of Belle Vernon,died Monday,March 17,1997,in Canterbury Place,Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 28,1905,in Belle Vernon,she was the dauhter of the late Guido and Croce Giannini Biagini. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon,she was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She was the former owner of Biagini grocery Store on Fifth Street,Belle Vernon. Mrs. Owens was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court,Belle Vernon,the Anita Garibaldi Society and the Defense Club. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Thomas Owens,on Dec. 27,1980. Surviving are one brother,George Biagini of Belle Vernon;and one sister,Evelyn Bauer of Greensburg. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian's Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev. George Saletrik,parochial vicar,as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
