Obituary

Rose E.Clark,80,of 210 Clark St.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,Aug.30,1991,at 8 p.m.in the Presbyterian Medical Center,Washington,Pa. Mrs.Clark was born Feb.5,1911,in Newell,a daughter of the late Alfonso and Maria Gigliotti Curcio. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon,where she had served as a deacon and an elder. Mrs.Clark was also a charter member and member of The Regulars'Class of the Sunday School of the Church,and was also a member of the Martha Circle of the Church. Mrs.Clark was also a member of the Belle Vernon Women's Club,the Rostraver Township AARP,and the Mon Valley Chapter of the Pittsburgh Opera Association. Her husband,Ralph Clark,died April 8,1970,and an infant son,James D.Clark,died Sept.15,1946. Seven brothers,Anthony,Clement,Harry,Victor,Albert,Milio and Alfonso Curcio,are also deceased. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law,George R.and Sabra Clark of Belle Vernon and Robert W.and Jeanie Clark of Roscoe,one daughter,Mrs.Walter (JoAnn) Melnick,of Belle Vernon,one sister,Eva M.Curcio,of Pittsburgh,six grandchildren,Susan Ghoweri,James,Raymond and Diane Clark,and Jennifer Melnick and Robert Clark Jr.,and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Friends will gather at the First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon,for funeral services at 11 a.m.Monday,with Pastor James Burton of the First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
