Obituary

Rosario Battaglia of 441 Center Ave.,North Charleroi,died Sunday,June 26,1983,at 10 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp.  He was 81.  Mr.Battaglia was born Aug.14,1901,in Napoleonville,La.  He was a retired employee of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.  Mr.Battagia was a member of St.Mary's Episcopal Church,Charleroi.  Surviving are his wife,Jeanne Ournac Battaglia,at home,and three sisters,Josephine Rotolo of North Charleroi,Rose DeAngelo of Clearwater,Fla.,and Christine Apostolldes of Monessen.  Friends will be received at the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc.,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,Monday,from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.in St.Mary's Episcopal Church,Charleroi,with the Rev.Keith Ackerman,rector,as celebrant.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
