Ronald A. ``Pete' Milton, 70, of Irwin, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at home. He was born July 11, 1932, in Bridgeport, Conn., a son of the late Raymond and Lila Bachelor Milton. He was a retired muffler specialist and a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving with the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn. He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. Kidwell Milton; a son, Timothy Milton of Florida; seven stepsons, David, Frank Howard, Robert Howard, Dennis Howard and Stephen Opfer, all of Florida, Kenneth Howard of Pittsburgh and Edward Opfer of Irwin; two stepdaughters, Renee of Florida and Patti McGauley of Liberty Borough; 15 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Donald Milton of Florida; and a sister, Theol Gantek of Connecticut; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. R. Bruce Maxwell and his brother-in-law, David B. Eisley, co-officiating.
