Caught under a fall of slate at the Henderson mine below Monessen,Romain Mazade,aged 44 years of Lockview received injuries Thursday afternoon,December 2,1915,at 3 o'clock from which he died three hours later. When the fall of slate occurred,two fellow workmen of Mr. Mazade's escaped. They hurried to get Mr.Mazade from under the slate and after rendering first aid treatment sent him home by ambulance. The funeral will be held from the late home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon and interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. He leaves his widow and a number of sons and daughters. Coroner James T. Heffran is investigating his death.
