Rolando Agostini; 93; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Sunday; Nov. 3; 2013; at 9:20 a.m. at his home. Born Aug. 14; 1920; in Monessen; he was the son of the late Philip and Mercedes Luciani Agostini. A resident of Rostraver Township; Mr. Agostini retired in the construction industry from the Batto Construction Co. where he was a former partner and then became self-employed. He was a veteran of World War II; where he served in the U.S. Navy as a bombardier. He is survived by his wife; Jean Scurci Agostini to whom he was married 65 years; son; Roy Agostini of Belle Vernon; daughter and son-in-law; Renee and Valerian Karlski of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Christopher T. Agostini; Roy A. Agostini; Ryan D. Agostini; and Vincent Karlski; and five great-grandchildren; Mykala Agostini; Gianna Agostini; Asa Agostini; Kendall Agostini and Rocko Agostini. He is preceded in death by a brother; Angelo Augustine; and a sister; Betty Stancatto. Visitation was held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS; with the Rev. Ron Schermerhorn of Avona Hospice Chaplain officiating.
