Obituary

Rodney L. Skinny Kiefer,58,of 409 Railroad St.,Stockdale,died suddenly Friday,April 16,1993,at his home. He was born March 28,1935,in North Charleroi,a son of the late John and Lavurn Worley Kiefer. A former resident of Monessen and Belle Vernon,he was employed at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel's Allenport plant. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by three brothers,Larry,Raymond and Milton. Survivors include a son,Kerry L.Kiefer of Belle Vernon,three sisters,Mrs.Robert (Frances) Lowe and Mrs.John (Elma) Mudron,both of Monessen,and Olive Staley of Donora,one brother,Donald Kiefer of Monessen,nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Stephen D.Yoney Jr.Funeral Home,First Street and Schoonmaker Avenue,Monessen,where services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev.Conrad Auel,pastor of the First Christian Church of Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Stephen D.Yoney Jr.Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
