Obituary

The body of Pfc Robert A. West,Co.E.315th Infantry,79th Division,who was killed in France on November 15,1944,will arrive in Charleroi Monday evening,August,23,1948,at 6:43 p.m.and will be taken,with a military escort,to the Toner Funeral Home in Belle Vernon. He is survived by his parents,Rev.Samuel Ellsworth and Alma Gertrude Paulson West of Perryopolis R.D. Reverend West was a former pastor of the Free Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,and Private West attended the Belle Vernon Schools. Surviving besides his parents,are two sisters,Mrs.Sara Jean Wilbraham of Perryopolis and Dorothy West,at home,six brothers,Sam of Gillespie,Oliver of Perryopolis,Ray of Belle Vernon R.D.,and Charles,Howard and David,at home. Friends will be received in the Toner Funeral Home until Wednesday,August 25,1948,at 2 p.m.when funeral services will be held with military honors by the Belle Vernon Post 659,of the American Legion. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
