Robert J. "Bob" Elgin, 91, of Penn Township, passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy "Dottie" (Abbott) Elgin; and brother of Betty Haggs. Bob was a research developer for U.S. Steel for many years and also a World War II veteran. He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Parish, the Franklin Squares in Monroeville and a former chairman of the National Association of Square Dancers and the Legacy International Square Association. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City (724-744-2721). A funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Private interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.http://www.LindsayFH.com.
