Obituary

Robert Warbutton, 328 Hill St., Belle Vernon, died Tuesday,Nov.14,1978,at 6:30 a.m. in the Veterans Hospital, Aspinwall. He was 69. Born in Barnesboro, February 17, 1909, he was the son of the late Jonathan and Elizabeth Burton Warbutton. He had been a Belle Vernon resident for the last 35 years. Mr. Warbutton retired in 1974 as an employee of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen plant. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Warbutton is survived by his widow, Wilma Huttenhour Warbutton, two sons, Robert Warbutton of Hollywood, Fla., and Danny Warbutton of Washington, two daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Patricia) Russell of Belle Vernon, and Lorie Warbutton, at home, four sisters, Elizabeth Morton and Rebecca Triplett, both of Belle Vernon, Bess Kiger of Tampa, Fla., and Ethel Hileman of Essex, Md , and one grandchild. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m.from the funeral home,with the Rev.Charles Colas,pastor of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,in charge of arrangements.
