Robert (Bob) Turner, 70,of 1057 Morgan Ave.,Monessen,died early Tuesday morning, Aug. 23,1966,in the Veterans Administration Hospital,Oakland, Pittsburgh. He was born in Indianapolis, Ind.,Feb. 19,1896,and spent most of his life in Monessen. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of American Legion Post 691,Monessen,and Mon Valley World War I Barracks 350. He was retired from the rod mill of Pittsburgh Steel Co.,Monessen plant. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1959. Survivors are three children,John and Albert of Monessen,one daughter, Catherine of Detroit;one brother, Howard (Sparrow) and ten grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen. Services will be held form the Draper funeral home chapel Thursday,Aug. 25,at 11 a.m. The Rev. Pillip Green, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church,Connellsville,will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
