Obituary

Robert Regis Nevins,63,a former Charleoi resident,died Friday,May 30,1975,at 12:01 a.m.in McKeesport Hospital. Mr.Nevins had resided in Charleroi the past 25 years and had just moved to 320 28th St.,McKeesport,a few months ago. He was born in Belle Vernon on Feb.4,1912,son of the late Robert C.and Elizabeth L.Nevins, His mother died Dec.23,1974. Mr.Nevins was a machinist for the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the U.S.Army,and belonged to St.Peter's Catholic Church,McKeesport,Veterans of Foreigh Wars Post 167 and American Legion Post 22,both of Charleroi. Surviving are a brother,William Nevins of Charleroi,two sisters,Mrs.William (Ellen) Newlon and Margaret Nevins,both of McKeesport,and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home,Charleroi,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Saturday and Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m.in St.Jerome's Catholic Church,Charleroi,with Msger.William Maher officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
