Robert “Bob” M Pollock Sr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the age of 77 with his family by his side at Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born on July 6, 1947 the son of the late Joseph and Margret (Bendik) Pollock. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 53 years Susan (Leska) Pollock, son Robert M Pollock Jr., and brother Edward Pollock.
He is survived by his best friend and daughter Michelle (Michael) Fell and daughter-in-law Lisa Dando Pollock. His grandchildren were his pride and joy including Emily (Ronnie) Holp, Amber (Josh) Harshbarger, Adam Pollock, and Andrew Pollock. He was blessed to have three great grandchildren including Hayden Holp, Charlie Holp, and Bennett Harshbarger. He is also survived by his brother Larry (Joni) Pollock, “brother” John Vargo, and sister-in-law’s Rita Pollock and Flo (Ollie) Richardson, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who were his “family.”
Bob went to school at Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and worked for GE in Cincinnati, Ohio, Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Monessen, and Lowe’s Home Improvement in Belle Vernon. Bob enjoyed cuddling up to his two cats, Carson & Smokey, while streaming his shows and trying to be “cool” on his iPhone. He loved being on his Kubota with his multiple attachments. Bob always had a list of home projects and enjoyed supervising others with his wisdom. He loved watching his great-grandchildren play ball. Catholic by faith, Bob was a member of St. John’s the Baptist Church, the Son’s of Italy, and was a life-time member of the Sokol’s Club all in Perryopolis. Bob was a member of the Boy Scouts of American and held the distinction of being an Eagle Scout.
Friends will be received Monday, June 16, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home, Inc.
Prayers of transfer will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 10 am in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am in St. Joh the Baptist Church, Perryopolis with Fr. Michael Thomas as celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, Pa.
