Obituary

Robert L.Black Sr.,45,of 9 Bowman Ave.,Charleroi,died suddenly Thursday,March 6,1975 at 9:34 a.m.in Washington Hospital. Mr.Black was born in Charleroi on Aug.29,1929,the son of the late James C.Black Sr.and Evelyn Wilson Black. He was a veteran of the U.S.Marine Corps and a machinist at the Millcraft Industries in Washington. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Charleroi and Charleroi Sportsmen's Club. He is survived by his widow,Anna Gnip Black,two sons,Robert L.Black Jr.and William Black,both at home,two daughters,Carole A.Henry and Leslie Black,both at home,two brothers,James C.Black of Allentown,Pa.and Loren Black of Speers,one step-sister,Janet Black Gray of Fallowfield Twp.,and one grandson,Christopher Henry of Charleroi. Mr.Black was preceded in death by one brother,Glenn Allen Wilson Black. Friends will be received in the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,on Saturday March 8,1975 from 2 until 4 p.m.and 7 until 9 p.m.and on Sunday,March 9,1975 from noon to 4 p.m.and 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday,March 10,1975 at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Frank A.Bodnar,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L.Schrock,funeral director in charge.
