Obituary

Robert John Kozura,921 Fayette Ave.,Lynnwood,died suddenly on Friday,Feb.16,1979,at 4:03 p.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. He was 43. Born Jan.7,1936 in Monessen,he was the son of John and Margaret Parola Kozura of Charleroi,who survive. He had been a resident of Belle Vernon the past 16 years. Mr.Kozura was employed as a crane man in the blooming mill at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel,Monessen. He was a member of St.Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon,United Steelworkers Local 1229,and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. Mr.Korura was active with the Cub Scout pack of St.Sebastians Church,and also Little League and Junior Football. In addition to his parents,Mr.Kozura is survived by his widow,Helen Yancoskie Kozura,two daughters,Robin Lynne and Rebecca Louise,and three sons,Robert John,Randy Joseph,and Ryan Jearmey,all at home,one brother,Rickey Duane Kozura of Charleroi,and one sister,Mrs.Charles (Cheryl) Ostetrico of Charleroi. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St.Sebastian's Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Washington Twp.-Fayette City Community Ambulance Service (CAS) or the American Heart Association,through the funeral home. Leonard J.Parzynski,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
