Obituary

Robert J. ''Bob'' Ferencz, 66, of Belle Vernon died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 after a long battle with bone cancer. He was the beloved husband of Helen M. (Everley) Ferencz; loving father of Robert J. Ferencz II of Nashville, TN and Valerie A. (Craig) Ferencz-Bonde of Greensboro, NC; grandfather of Olivia and Aidan Bondi; son of the late Joseph and Irene (Hoffman) Ferencz; brother of Dennis Ferencz of Rostraver Twp. and Janice (Joe ) Milosovich ofHampton, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Bob was employed for 42 years as a crane operator at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He was also a member of the East Monongahela Sportsman and Roscoe Sportsman Clubs. An avid marksman, Bob attended the National Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio for over 20 years where he earned numerous medals including an NRA Master Classification in service rifle competition. He was also a proud Life Member of the NRA. Another of his proudest achievements was being an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and Scout Master for Troops 1543 and 1541.   Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the James C.
