Obituary

Robert J. Antonio, 60, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, in the emergency room of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born March 1, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William and Evelyn Fitzpatrick Antonio. He was a resident of the Charleroi and Monessen areas most of his life, and a member of United Methodist Church of Monessen. Mr. Antonio was formerly employed as assistant meat manager for Thorofare Markets. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Mary Lou (Dziak) Antonio, a son and daughter-in-law, R. Scott and Michele Antonio of Monessen, a daughter, Carmen Antonio of Monessen, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Evelyn Sessi of Calabash, N.C. and Richard Jackowski of Pittsburgh, three grandchildren, Alexandra, Nico and Gionni Antonio, a Godchild, Lesa Turkovich of Donora, and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several special aunts and uncles. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, with the Rev. Bruce Northey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi, officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
