Obituary

Robert G. BoBo Lambert Sr., 80, of Charleroi, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, in his home. He was born Feb. 19, 1924, in California, Pa., a son of the late Charles J. and Harriet Jean Lamb Lambert. He was Catholic by faith and a member of the Italia Unita and Russian clubs, both in Charleroi, and the Slavik and French clubs, both in North Charleroi. Mr. Lambert was retired from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel with 48 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having obtained the rank of corporal. Survivors include his wife, June Evans Lambert, with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on Sept. 9, 2004, two daughters and one son-in-law, Patty Lambert Garrick and husband Melvin of Monessen and Bonnie Jean Lambert Bailey of Charleroi, one brother and sister-in-law, William C. and Nellie Lambert of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., five grandchildren, Jody, Darla and Scott Bailey, Carrie Gaidos and Kellie Farquhar, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his one and only son, Robert G. Lambert Jr., on Dec. 13, 1984, and one brother, A.J. Terry Lambert. Friends will be received in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 18, at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon, followed by entombment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations through the funeral home.
