Robert G. Pivarnik; 86; of Fayette City; died Thursday; July 24; 2003 in his home. He was born June 10; 1917 in Allenport; a son of Michael G. and Anna Pinksa Pivarnik. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport Plant as an engineer on the company railroad. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea with the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Pivarnik was a member of Brightwell-Daughtery American Legion Post 484; Fayette City; and the Fayette County Firemen’s Association. He was preceded in death by one brother; Elmer Pivarnik; and one sister; Ruth Pivarnik. Survivors include three nephews; Ronald A. Allabach of Monongahela; Howard Pivarnik of Sierra Vista; Ariz.; and Edward Pivarnik of Baldwin; one niece; Karen Hill of Sierra Vista; Ariz.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. There was no public visitation; and private interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; Fayette City.
