Robert E.Carpenter;of 45 Zundel St.;Pricedale;died Wednesday;Jan.9;1985;at 9:30 a.m. Mr.Carpenter was born in Birmingham;Ala.;a son of the late Roy and Rosetta Carpenter. He was a retired employee of the Duquesne Works of U.S.Steel Corporation. Mr.Carpenter was a former resident of Donora;having lived there for many years. Surviving are his fiance;Anita Dickson;one son;Robert Carpenter of Donora;three daughters;Michelle Carpenter of Pittsburgh and Sandra Carpenter and Antonette Sloan;both of Donora;three brothers;William Carpenter of Boston;Mass.;Daniel Carpenter of Dononra and Cleo Carpenter of Detroit;Mich.;and three sisters;Ida B.Johnson and Viola Rawlins;both of Monongahela;and Arwilda Mathis of Monessen;two grandchildren;James Carpenter of Donora and Latrese Carpenter of Michigan;one aunt;Lora Green of Michigan;and a host of nieces;nephews and friends. Friends will be received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen;Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant Green AME Church;Pricedale. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
