Robert C. McLaughlin,66,of 407 Hollywood St.,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday, Dec. 14,1993,at 2:02 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Monessen Jan. 22,1927,a son of the late Robert and Gladys Fleming McLaughlin. Mr. McLaughlin was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. He was also a member of VFW Post 167 of Charleroi;Fayette City American Legion and AARP. He had lived in the Belle Vernon area for the past 29 years,formerly residing in Monessen. He was an employee of Allenport Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, from where he retired in 1983. A veteran of World War II.he had served in the Army-Air Force. He was a member of Squadron A.,488th AAF Base Unit. He is survived by his wife, Alma Kobosky McLaughlin;two sons, Robert J. McLaughlin of Charleroi and James W. McLaughlin of Belle Vernon;two daughters, Mrs. Karl (Patricia) Polacek of Belle Vernon and Mrs Edward (Kathleen) Roberts of Charleroi; one brother, James W. Mclaughlin of Monessen;one sister, Mary E. Miller of Harrisburg and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 10 a.m. followed by entombment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
