Robert C. Brosen, 56,of Charleroi,Pa.,a former resident of Cumberland. died Saturday, July 18,1953 in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital there following an illness of four months. Born in Berlin,Germany,he was a son of Mrs. Marie Kuhn of Meriden, Conn. Mr. Brosen moved from Cumberalnd to Charleroi in 1926. A tailor and a sports enthusiast,he was a member of the Charleroi Boosters Club. Mr. Brosen also held membership in Chrst Lutheran Church in Cumberland. Surviving,besides his mother,are his widow, Mrs. Estelle Martin Brosen; a son, Sgt. R.C. Brosen Jr.,stationed with the Air Force in England;a daughter, Mrs. Else Metcalfe of Charleroi; two brothers, Ernest Brosen of Meriden and Ewald Brosen of Berlin, Germany and a grandchild. Services were conducted Monday in the Glock Funeral Home, Charleroi,by Rev. Meade Rugh,pastor of Christ Church and interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
