Robert B.Kostella of Perryopolis R.D.2 died suddenly Sunday Jan.31;1982 at 1:50 p.m. at Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.;Carroll Township. He was 51. Born in Monessen June 20;1930;he was the son of John Kostella;who died June 3;1979 and Mrs.Mary Kostella of Belle Vernon R.D.3;who survives. Mr.Kostella was a Christian. He was a member of the Elks Club of Charleroi and the American Legion of Fayette City. Mr.Kostella was a veteran of the United States Army;serving during the Korean conflict. He lived in the Perryopolis R.D.2 area for 25 years and had been a former resident of the Belle Vernon and Monessen areas. Mr.Kostella became ill suddenly at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;where he was general foreman of construction. In addition to his mother;Mr.Kostella is survived by his widow;Mildred Clegg Kostella;sons;Robert W.of Belle Vernon and Mark D.at home;three brothers;John Kostella of Donora;Thomas of Jacobs Creek and Edward of Belle Vernon;R.D.3;and sister;Mrs.Mary Rita Rozik of Charleroi. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon on Monday from 7-9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.from the funeral home with the Rev.Edwin E.McElroy;minister of the little Redstone United Methodist Church;Fayette City officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
