Robert Bainbridge,72,of Fairhope, died in the Washington Hospital,Tuesday morning, July 3,1962. at 7:30 o'clock. He was born in Mt. Pleasant,Aug. 2,1887,and had resided in Fairhope most of his life. He was a member of the Marion Presbyterian Church. He was a retired miner since 1951 from Somers No. 4 mine at Pricedale. Survivors are five sons, James E. Eley of Fayette City,John R. Eley of Monessen,Thomas Bainbridge of Belle Vernon,Richard M. Bainbridge of Fairhope,with whom he made his home,and Joseph T. Bainbridge of Fairhope;one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Mary) Nixon of Ft. Belvoir,Va.;one brother,William of Mather; two sisters,Mrs. Mary A. McDonough of Fairhope and Jane Bainbridge of Fairhope;11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Services will be held there Friday,July 6,at 3 p.m.,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
