Robert A. Borello; 89; of North Charleroi; passed away Wednesday; April 9; 2014; at The Residence at Hilltop; Carroll Township. He was born Dec. 12; 1924; in North Charleroi; the son of the late Baptiste and Antonet Borello. Mr. Borello was a World War II veteran; having served in the U.S. Army. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen Plant. Mr. Borello was a member of Mary; Mother of the Church Parish in Charleroi and the North Charleroi French Club. Surviving are his son; Robert Borello and wife; Justine; of Salisbury; Md.; daughter; Diane Borello-France and husband; Robert France; of Plum; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Frances Megna Borello. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC.; 226 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday; in Mary; Mother of the Church; 7th and Washington Ave.; Charleroi; celebrated by the Rev. Gerald Mikonis.
