Robert A Cathers Sr.; 75; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); died Tuesday; Jan. 24; 2006; in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. He was born Aug. 21; 1930; in Washington Township; a son of the late William E. and Darling Cathers. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law; Ricky and Deborah Cathers; of Belle Vernon; and Robert Jr. and Karen Cathers; of Newell; three daughters and one son-in-law; Debbie and Fred Hess; of Charleroi; Linda Smith; of Madison; and Janet Woods; of West Newton; three brothers; William T. and Tim Cathers; both of Belle Vernon; and David Cathers; of Georgia; two sisters; Martha Kunka and Ruth Ann Antonelli; both of Belle Vernon; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; Irene Bukoski Cathers; a daughter; Beth A. Cathers; and a granddaughter; Kimberly Hess. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday; Jan. 27; until 11 a.m.; at which time a blessing service will take place with the Rev.
