Obituary

Rita Mae Gilbert, 83, of Fairhope, Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015, in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. She was born July 10, 1931, in Fayette City, daughter of the late Merle Farquhar and the late Margaret Moody Farquhar. Rita was a 20-year member of the Mon Valley CB Club. She is survived by her brother, Merle D. Farquhar Jr., and wife, Marge, of Allenport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Gilbert in 2012; son, John A Farquhar; and two sisters, Betty J. Hamilton and Nancy Williamson. Private services and Interment were held Tuesday, May 18, 2015, in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA 15012.
