Richard Radock; 83; of Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; Dec. 21; 2004; in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Nicholas and Pauline Radich Radock; he was born in Belle Vernon on Feb. 4; 1921. Mr. Radock was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and VFW Post 699. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; he had worked for the Pittsburgh Steel Company and taught diesel mechanics at Westmoreland County Community College for 19 years. Mr. Radock served during World War II with the U.S. Army; 80th Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Survivors include his wife 58 years; Velma Stankovics Radock; a son and daughter-in-law; Richard J. and Mary Jo Radock of Erie; two sisters; Sophia Cutter and Paulette Radock; both of Belle Vernon; two brothers; Stephen Radock of Baltimore; Md.; and Charles Radock of Wexford; and two grandchildren; Damian S. Radock and wife Lisa Joy; and Ariel Radock; all of Erie. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by three brothers; George; Joseph Moe and Michael Radock. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; a Golden Rule Member Firm; (724-929-5300); 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; where funeral services will be held Friday; Dec. 24; at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Tim McConville; pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Belle Vernon; officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon American Legion and VFW will meet in the funeral home to hold services on Thursday at 7 p.m.
