died Thursday; Dec. 12;1991 at
3:15 a.m. in Mon Valley
Hospital; Carroll Township;
He was born Sept. 1; 1921; in
Donora; a son of the late Noah
and Cecelia Smith Behanna.
A resident of the Belle Vernon
area for more than 50 years; he
was a retired pipefitter from the
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel
Corp.; Monessen plant.
Mr. Behanna was a veteran of
World War II; having served in
the U.S. Marine Corps.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by two
brothers; Noah and James
Behanna; and one sister; Violet
Bachisn.
Survivors include his wife;
Delores Palfrey Behanna; one
son; Richard C. Behanna Jr. of
Miami; Fla.; one daughter; Mrs.
Dennis (Dianne) Steiner of Belle
Vernon R.D.; one sister;
Virginia Clark of Clearwater;
Fla.; and four grandchildren;
Scott and Todd Behanna; Duane
Shoman and Dennis Steiner Jr.;
all of Belle Vernon.
Friends will be received
Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and
Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
in the Ferguson Funeral Home
Inc.; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon;where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.with Elder Thomas Hamer of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints;Fayette City;in charge. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
