Richard A. Parente Jr., 56, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord after a brief illness on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Richard A. and Norma M. Lazzari Parente, he was born in North Charleroi on Sept. 17, 1958. Rick was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. A graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School in 1976, he was a member and lead vocalist for several area bands, including: Rampage, Decrepid, Angus Grimm and Breaker. He was a subcontractor for Santori Kitchen and Bath and had been an employee with his late father, and then became the owner and operator of Parente TV Sales and Service for many years. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Kim Livingston Parente; two daughters, Jessica Parente of Pittsburgh and Journey Parente, at home; two sons, Jeffrey Parente of Pittsburgh and Justin Parente, at home; one aunt and uncle, Jeanne and Rio Lazzari of Belle Vernon; and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Leslie Ann Parente on Jan. 3, 2014. A blessing service will be in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
