Renita R. Howard Brooks,age 58, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2016, in St. Clair Hospital. Born July 2, 1957, in Lexington, KY, (Ft. Campbell), daughter of the late James and Harrietta (Tansmore) Howard. Also preceded in death by son, La'Ron Howard; and sister, Toni Chavis. Had worked as a sales clerk in the retail industry and Artistic Child Services. Surviving are her husband, Craig A. Brooks, Sr., Bethel Park; sons, Zerick (Angela) Howard of Monessen, Jeffery (Darlene) Howard of McKeesport and Craig A. (Nicole) Brooks, Jr.; daughters, Amula (Tyrone) Johnson of Monroeville, Renita N. Brooks of Finleyville and Lucretia D. Brooks of South Park, PA; 25 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; sisters, Sheryl Tansmore Howard of Cleveland, OH, Marva Bethea of South Park, PA, Sheila Davis of Brandywine, MD and Naona Price of Marietta, GA; brothers, Garron Howard of Jacksonville, FL, Gregory Howard of Effort, PA and Billy Rae Howard of Allentown, PA; mother-in-law, Lucretia W. Brooks of Clairton; other relatives. Friends will be received Friday, March 11, 2016, from 4-8 p.m. at the ROBERT A. WATERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 449 Mitchell Ave., Clairton, with funeral services to be held at Mt. Olive First Baptist Church, 451 Park Ave., Clairton, PA, Sat., March 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Thelma J. Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA.
