Rena Rossi Santavicca; 84; a lifelong resident of Dunlevy; died in Monongahela Valley Hospital on Saturday; Aug. 7; 2004. She was born March 23; 1920; a daughter of the late Romano and Ernesta Lenzini Rossi. The only Rossi family member not to play soccer; Rena married the Dunlevy Redbirds goalie and was the team’s most avid fan. She was a graduate of Charleroi High School Class of 1937; a member of the Dunlevy United Methodist Church; and a former member of the Dunlevy Recreation Center Inc. Rena enjoy driving her wheelbarrow around her garden and sharing her vine-ripened tomatoes and words of wit and wisdom with friends and neighbors who passed by while on their daily errands. Left to cherish her memory and mourn her passing are son; Gary; of Dunlevy; daughters; Madalyn Pollitt of Alexandria; Va.; Carolyn of Dunlevy; Marlene and husband Buddy Knight of Clearwater; Fla.; and Ernestine Lee and husband Regis of North Charleroi; two granddaughters; Rachel and Kathleen Lee; two brothers and one sister-in-law; Thomas J. Rossi of Hayward; Calif.; and Ronald and Adele Rossi of Rostraver Township; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Sigi; in December 1989; five brothers; Raymond; Reno; Ramo; Roger and Ralph Rossi; and one sister; Laura Rossi. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; (724-929-5399); 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; where a funeral service will be held Wednesday; Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. with the Rev.
