Rebecca Speers Robbins; 76; of Speers Hill; died Wednesday; Sept. 14; 2005; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Alden and Katherine Bonsch Speers; she was born in Detroit; Mich.; on Oct. 8; 1928. She was a member of the Speers United Methodist Church; the Speers Civic Club; the Charleroi Elementary PTA and the Goodwill Club of Charleroi. A resident of Speers for over 68 years; she was an operator for 21 years for the former Bell Telephone Company; retiring in 1983. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law; Pam and Ken Kibler and Cindy and Tom Sukel; all of Fallowfield Township; one son and daughter-in-law; Jeffrey W. and Patsy Robbins; of Chesapeake; Va.; one sister; Gertrude Elaine Baldwin; of Akron; Ohio; eight grandchildren; Michael; David and Brian Robbins; Kenny and Kelly Kibler; Sammy Stockton; and Jillian and Maggie Sukel; two sisters-in-law; Betty Speers; of Streetsboro; Ohio; and Martha Smith; of Daisytown; and one brother-in-law; Lee Robbins; of Quinlan; Texas. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; John W. Red Robbins; in 1997; and two brothers; James and Van Alden Speers Sr. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; a Golden Rule Member Firm; 724-929-5300; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Friday; Sept. 16; at noon with the Rev. William Hastings officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
