Obituary

Rebecca Becky M. Manown Jannotta, 84, of Belle Vernon, died Monday, May 5, 2003 at her grandson's home in Fairhope. She was born April 14, 1919 in Monessen, a daughter of the late Clinton Manown and Ida Lerminiaux Manown. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area, she was a 1937 graduate of Rostraver High School and a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church. She was an employee of Corning Glass for over 20 years. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Clinton and Helen Hammitt of Whittier, Calif., one daughter and son-in-law, Maria and David Horan of Webster, two step sons, John Jannotta and wife Mindy of Huntingdon, W.Va., and Joseph Jannotta and wife Gay of Charleroi, one step daughter, Judy Sevon and husband Edward of Jensen Beach, Fla., one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Mary Manown of Lynnwood, eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph C. Jannotta on Sept. 19, 2002, six brothers, William, George, Martin, Clint, Jack and Kirby Manown, and three sisters, Naomi Kuss, Louise Bedner and Adele Cramer. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Member Firm (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Services will be held Thursday, May 8 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. James Dorow officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
