Obituary

Raymond Sopsic, 58, of Fayette City (Naomi), died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, in The Donnell House, Washington, Pa. He was born Feb. 7, 1948, in North Charleroi, a son of the late William and Stella Duda Sopsic. He was a member of the Naomi AC Club and retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant. Surviving are his uncle, Edward Duda and wife Toshiko, of New Jersey, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, William R. Sopsic Jr., on Dec 6, 1997. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 25 until 10 a.m., when a Blessing service will take place with the Rev. Leonard McAlpin officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Albert Gallatin Hospice.
