Obituary

Raymond R. 'Dick' Lasko, age 81, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 He was born on February 25, 1931 in Connellsville, Pa., the son of Charles Lasko and Lillian (Price) Lasko. Raymond was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis. He was also a member of the Perryopolis Travel Club. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952. 'Ray' was an avid golfer and achieved every golfer's d r e a m of a hole-in-one in Deland, Florida in 1998. He finished his working career as 'the singing starter' at Linden Hall Golf Course, where he worked for 22 years, He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Norma (Krukowsky) Lasko: two daughters: Deborah Travis of Smithton, Pa., and Victoria Narron and Jimmy Narron of Wake Forest, North Carolina, a daughter-in-law, Denise Lasko of Clearwater, Florida, grand daughters Alexis Petrosky and husband Michael and Jessica McGowan and husband Mac, and three great grandchildren: Travis Smith, Nolace Petrosky and Neville Petrosky whom he loved very much and that will miss him greatly. He is also survived by a brother, Ed Lasko and wife Rose Marie of Perryopolis, Pa., and a sister, Eleanor Burkholder, Connellsville, Pa. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Raymond R. Lasko Jr., great granddaughter Lena Rae Petrosky, four brothers, Robert Lasko, Charles Lasko, Don Lasko and Joe Lasko, and a brother-in-law, Stanley Burkholder. Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA 15473 today, August 13th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, August 14th, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with Reverend Father Anthony W. Ditto as Celebrant. Burial will be private. Wake Service will be held today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hillman Cancer Center, Center Avenue, Shadyside, PA 15232 or the American Lung Association, 810 River Avenue, Suite 140 Pittsburgh, PA 15212
