Raymond R.Pro;69;of 817 McKean Ave.;Charleroi;died Thursday;Feb.26;1976;at 9:30 a.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Italy on Oct.12;1906;and lived in the Mon Valley practically all his life. His parents were the late Andrew and Marie Cardinale Pro. Mr.Pro attended North Charleroi public schools. He had worked at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.before retirement. He was a member of the Italia Unita Club;Oldtimers Club;Golden Agers and Senior Citizens;all of Charleroi;American Citizens Society;Avenir of North Charleroi and the Mon Valley Association of Retired Steelworkers. Preceding him in death were a brother;John Pro of Monessen;and two sisters;Flora Pro of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Josephine Corno of Donora. Surviving are his widow;Norah Bowen Ward Pro;one stepson;Albert Ward of Florida State;two brothers;Joe Pro of Library and James Pro of Pittsburgh;four step-granddaughters;one step-great-grandson and two tep-great-granddaughters;all of Columbus;Ohio. Friends will be received at the Michael A.Melinchak Funeral Home;Inc.;Charleroi;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday and Saturday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.with the Rev.Frank A.Bodnar of First United Methodist Church;Charleroi;officiating and prayer by a nephew;the Rev.John Paul Pro of the First Baptist Church;Jeannette. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Michael A.Melinchak is funeral director in charge.
