Obituary

Raymond R. Fischer, of 1114 Williams Dr.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,March 26,1971 at 3:15 p.m. in Washington Hospital.  He was 69. Mr. Fischer was born July 28,1908 in Newark,N.J.,a son of the late Frederick and Catherine Kempf Fischer.   He was a member of Azure Lodge 129 F.&.A.M.;Syria Temple,Pittsburgh and Mon Valley Caravan No. 17;Monongahala Elks Lodge 455,and was chairman of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE).  Mr. Fischer was a retired industrial engineer and had lived in Belle Vernon for the past eight years prior to which time he resided in Monongahela.  Survivors include his widow,Maria Ann Fischer;one son,Robert Fischer of Livingstone,N.J.;one daughter,Mrs. Carol Hollywood,of West Orange,N.J.;one brother,Frederick W. Fischer of Palos His.,ILL., and eight grandchildren.  Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m.Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday.  Services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday,March 29 at 11 a.m.,with the Rev. Frank A. Bodnar of the First United Methodist Church,Charleroi,officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D. Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
