Raymond Maurice Ritchie was the eldest son of the late Miriam Rumbel Ritchie and the late John (Jack) Maruice Ritchie. He was born February 11,1957 and died March 26,2013 at Elmendorf Hospital, Alaska, from a stroke during surgery. Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a Combat Engineer. He was baptized by personal choice as a teenager in the First Baptist Church of Monongahela,Pa. Ray loved fishing,the Steelers,his dog "Shakes",telling jokes and stories of his life and adventures, and most of all, spending time with his brother Ron,especially in their many years of enjoying Alaska's great ourdoors.During his last few years of living,Ray and nephew Don Harris formed a special bond when Donnie was an airman in Alaska. Eay is survived by two sisters, Michele Ritchie-Harris and Johnna Lee Gregg; a brother Donald L. Ritchie; seven nieces and nephews,one great-nephew,and many extended family members.He had a daughter, Michele Sota,in CA. The Frye Funeral Home was entrusted with the burial on August 14,2021, at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
