Raymond J.Astle;62;of Ridge Ave.;Homestead;died Monday;Oct.15;1990;at 2:30 p.m.in Shadyside Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was born in Stockdale on July 20;1928;a son of the late Ernest and Amy Jones Astle Sr. Mr.Astle had lived in Homestead for the last 20 years. He retired five years ago. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Ernest Astle Jr.and Milton Astle;and three sisters;Marion Authur;Hazel Bandini and Florence Angelocci. He is survived by a brother;Woodrow L.Astle of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Mrs.Lawrence (Doris) Tulley and Loma Jean Benedetti Greco;both of Altoona;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m.with Father Richard Visconti;priest of St.Mary’s Episcopal Church;Charleroi;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
