Obituary

Raymond H. Turner of 1106
Graham St., Belle Vernon
( Rostraver Twp.), died
Thursday,Sept.22,1983, at 9:40 p.m. in the
H.C. Frick Community
Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He
was 62.
Mr. Turner was bom Nov.
15,1920, In Pricedale, a son of
the late Arthur (Buddy) and
Manila Tauber Turner.
He was a member of Belle
Vernon American Legion
Post 659 and the Pricedale
Hunting Camp.
Mr. Turner was the former
owner of the Turner Hotel in
Monessen.
He was a former clerk of
courts for Westmoreland
County and had served for 14
years, as superintendent of
the Westmoreland County
Juvenile Detention Home,
Greensburg.
A bus driver for the Belle
Vernon Area School District,
Mr. Turner, was an Army Air
Corps veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded In death by
two sisters, Uba Dale and
Eileen Huber Smith, and a
brother, James F. Turner.
Survivors Include his
widow, Margaret Weightman
Turner, one daughter and her
husband, Manila and Michael
Shutman of Blackwood, N.J.,
one brother, George P.
Turner of Pricedale, and two
grandchildren, Margaret and Joel.
Friends will be received
Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and
Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the Shelby D.
Ferguson Funeral Home, 700
Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,,where services will be held Monday,Sept.26,1983,at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Kenneth Neiderhiser,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services Sunday at 7:15 p.m.at the funeral home. Graveside military services will be held Monday. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
