Obituary

Raymond E.(Punkin) Watson Sr.of Allenport died suddenly at 11:30 a.m.Thursday,Oct.3,1985,at Mon Valley Hospital Inc. He was 53. Born in Arnold City,March 3,1932,he was a son of the late John Watson Sr.and Bessie Davis Watson. Mr.Watson was a member of St.Joseph Church in Roscoe,the Fayette City American Legion and the Allenport Rod and Gun Club. He served in the U.S.Army in 1960. A former resident of Belle Vernon,Mr.Watson lived in Allenport since 1981. He was employed as a lab observer at the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two sisters,Evelyn Watson and Emma Karlsin and two brothers,John Watson Jr and Wade Watson. Surviving are his wife,Nora Lee Willey Watson,three sons,David C.Watson,Raymond E.Watson Jr. and Michael D.Watson,all at home,two daughters,Lisa Marie and Kristen Marie,both at home,two brothers,Kenneth Watson of Youngstown,Ohio and William Watson of Monessen,and four sisters,Ruth Hails of Chicago,Ill.,Charlotte Malys of Fayette City,Grace Stine of Monongahela and Shirley Fedora of Hillsboro,Oregon. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. st St.Joseph Church,Roscoe,with Rev.Robert A. Kobach officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
